What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
EFT - "Emotional Freedom Technique" or  Meridian-based therapy" or "Energy psychology" is an exceptional healing technique and has been developed based on a growing body of clinical evidence which indicates that these approaches can produce rapid improvement in negative emotional states.  Its belief is that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system therefore EFT is a form of "psychological acupressure" except that we don't use needles . It can be thought of as psychological use of the acupuncture meridians that offer profound psychological effects.  EFT has been successfully applied to treat a wide range of emotional problems and issues, including anxiety, fears, phobias, trauma, PTSD, grief, anger, guilt, etc. It has also been applied to enhance performance and improve relationships. 
The approach relieves symptoms by tapping on various body locations. This tapping balances energy meridians that become disrupted when we think about or experience an emotionally disturbing circumstance. Once balanced, the upset is usually resolved - the memory stays but the emotional charge is gone. Typically the result is lasting and is also accompanied by positive changes in thinking. The technique is easy to learn and ideal for self-help.
What Does A Session Consist Of? 
After an explanation of the mechanics of the process and answering any questions you may have, you the client, rate the issue you wish to address on a scale of 1-10.  We then establish a reminder phrase and begin the rounds of tapping.  Clients have the option to focus on the issue whilst I tap on the appropriate meridian points, or they can tap on them themselves whilst copying me. Either way I will teach you how to do this process yourself at home, to further enhance the work we start together.After a round of tapping the issue is rated again. Clients often find that after only a few rounds of tapping the issue will shift in one of several ways. Some report that the visual image has become blurred or that they can no longer visualise the scene. Others feel dissociated from the issue or see it from a new, more productive perspective. We continue this process until the Client is no longer disturbed by the issue or problem ie: the memory remains, but without the negative emotional charge which existed previously.
