Greatful - Appreciative YOU
How good do you feel when something you have done for someone else is greatfully appreciated?
How different do you feel when you look in the mirror and say something nice about yourself such as, "oh im so greatfull i have such beautiful eyes, nice hair, great smile".
How appreciative do you feel to hear someone tell you an inspiring story?
How greatfull are you to spend time with your family, friends and loved ones?
How better does your day get when your manager tells you what an amazing job you have done?
When your on holiday, standing in an idyllic location, how appreciative and greatful are you feeling then? your life problems just disappear in that instant, dont they?
Think about how different your life looks and feels through the eyes of appreciation, things just dont seem so bad anymore, lifes problems and inconveniences seem to pale into insignificance.
There are many different types of emotions that are based on core heart feelings, such as gratitude care, sincerity, compassion, kindness, forgiveness and love. Of all these wonderful and heartfelt feelings, Gratitude gives you an energy boost and manages to change your perspective.
The very word "Greatful" means to be thankful and express admiration, approval or appreciation. Being greatful and appreciative of your family, friends, loved ones and even strangers, increases the value you see in them. When you appreciate yourself and all the wonderful things you have in your life, your own value increases, both to yourself and others.
“If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.” ~ Meister Eckhart
Appreciation and being greatful actually give you a high voltage boost to your whole system, releasing soothing and invigorating hormones into your bloodstream that nourish every cell in your body. The result is an immediate improvement on a mental, physical and emotional level. With the nourishing biochemicals released into your system from appreciation and gratitude, your body will thrive and because you are less stressed when in this state you will gradually become more resilient to fatigue and aging. So instead of having negative, destructive thoughts and emotions that drain your entire system and leave you feeling unwell, exhausted, angry and anxious, you will not only feel better and be much healthier, you will look great too.
Every time you make an effort to activate appreciation, it shifts your perception of the world around you for the better, especially when life isn't meeting your expectations. Like love, holding that magnificent feeling of gratitude in your heart creates a magnet inside of you for creating more wonderful things in your life.
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” ~ Eckhart Tolle
You can also use appreciation to improve your mind. Instead of being consumed by problems or anxieties you start to see the bigger picture and gain a new and exciting perspective. You may find you think more clearly and can perceive solutions that where never there to you before.
I'd like you to put your hand over your heart and breath slowly in through your nostrils and out through your mouth you will feel the breath and beat of your heart. Then think about something you are greatful for or appreciative off, something that is good in your life, whether that is a loved one or just something that makes you feel good. If you then take the feeling of appreciation, gratitude, to the challenge you are currently facing, you will instantly start to feel lighter and you will start to see your problems with a very different perspective. You may start to see that the situation could have been worse for example and once you can bring some light heartedness to the situation and you can learn to laugh it off you begin to unlock and let go off some of the energy that has been tied up in the problem. Even a brief moment of appreciation and gratitude can change your physiology and start to bring you a more sensitive understanding of the situation.
“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” ~ Mary Angelou
As you practice appreciation you come into closer communication with you heart, your fundamental source of power and intuition. When you feel appreciation your heart rhythms change and send powerful healing commands to the brain and the rest of your body. You learn how to be your true self and gain new insights into the different situations you encounter and as your heart and mind fully begin to synchronize, you facilitate your mental and intuitive powers.
Applied gratitude and appreciation to your life is like compound interest, the more you appreciate, the easier it gets to see the positive things in your life and draw more positive experiences to yourself. If we would only spend half as much time appreciating the good things happening in our lives as we spend criticising and complaining about what isn't happening we would see what a truly wonderful world we live in and just how much we really have to be greatful and appreciative of.
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Learn to appreciate and BE greatful for everything in your life, anything at all such as the clothes you are wearing, the water your drinking, central heating when its cold, fans when its warm, food in the fridge, gas and electricity to cook. Lights in your home, your car, the roads and the streets, your good health, your beautiful children and their good health, the trees, the birds, the plants, the earth, our animals, mammals and fish. Be thankful for your ability to communicate via telephone, mobile, fax, email, txt, skype, be appreciative of our medical service, shops, places of interest, cinemas, theatres etc. Greatful for your family and great friends and the laughs you share, greatful and appreciative of love you have in your life, money to pay your bills and enjoy yourself with..............everything and anything you have in your life is a bonus, something you can be greatful and appreciative of and if we truly see it as such we can transform the world around us into a much nicer place to be.
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely day :)
